Downtown San Diego
Downtown San Diego is the heart of San Diego, the second largest city in California. Downtown is the hub of San Diego’s government, law, and banking. There are about 5000 businesses and 75,000 people who work in the downtown area and during the last ten years, more and more people make their home there living in the neighborhoods of Little Italy, Cortez Hill, Gaslamp Quarter, Banker’s Hill, Columbia, and East Village.
Also in downtown is the world famous San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park with its many museums such as the Museum of Natural History, Reuben Fleet Space Center, San Diego Air & Space Museum, San Diego Museum of Art, Museum of Man, and the Hall of Champions to name just a few. There is also shopping at Horton Plaza and Seaport Village, an array of fine restaurants, cafes, and other hot spots. The Padres make their home at Petco Park located in downtown San Diego. For music and theater there are the Civic Theater and Symphony Hall. There is also the beautiful waterfront where the air craft carrier Midway can be toured and harbor cruise excursions can be taken around San Diego Harbor. Often cruise ships are docked there as well.
The courts located in downtown San Diego are the main branch of the San Diego Superior Court located at 220 W. Broadway. It is occupied by the criminal courts, family support, and the sheriff’s office. Next door at 330 W. Broadway is the Hall of Justice which houses the civil courts, district attorney’s office, and the jury lounge. The Madge Bradley Building located at 1409 4th Avenue hears probate and family law. Federal courts include the U.S. Bankruptcy Court at 325 West F St. And the U.S. District Court for the Southern District located at 940 Front St. Also located in the downtown area is the Metropolitan Correction Center for federal prisoners and the San Diego County Central Jail.
Our firm is located in Rancho Bernardo, California in the southwest corner of the Clock Tower Office Complex off the I-15 at Bernardo Center Drive. We are located on the second floor and have two four by eight foot signs which can be seen from the I-15 northbound. We have free parking and an elevator. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm and closed on all legal holidays.
